Welcome!

Hello everyone! This is the real first devlog for my game.

This is what I accomplished in the last week or so.

The First BOSS

Huitzilopochtli is the god of a lot of things in Aztec mythology, and so I thought he'd be fitting as the god of nature in my game.

I coded and animated the boss, and I think it's pretty fun to fight against him.


Swimming

Fixed Swimming issues. Again. I hope this is the last time I have to do that. It's getting kind of annoying to have to change the code for swimming so many times.


The Underwater Grotto

Started making the next area of the game, called the Underwater Grotto. This has maze - like level design that will be fun to play and will give variety to the gameplay.


Ability System

Figured out how to make an ability system, where beating a boss will give you a special move.

For example, when beating Huitzilopochtli, you get the Wall Jump ability, used to reach more places in the world.


Room System

Using a Room System, I can make give the players a real sense of exploration, while making it easier for me to expand levels and make them longer.
